Billerica Cops Nab Drunk Driver Who Damaged Property, Dashed

A woman with a history of driving under the influence was arrested after she knocked down a telephone pole with her car, officials say.

The 33-year-old woman, of Andover, crashed her 2022 Honda Accord into a telephone pole on Sunrise Avenue in Billerica while driving with an open container on Thursday, June 29 at approximately 10:30 p.m., according to the Billerica Police Department.

The telephone pole was knocked down in the crash.

The woman then ran away from the scene of the accident, police say.

The woman was charged with the following:

OUI, second offense
Operating a vehicle with an open container
Leaving the scene of a crash with property damage
